ENERGY STAR Validation

Sieben Energy Associates offers ENERGY STAR verification services.  Using ENERGY STAR’s Portfolio Manager, each building profile is compared to the published national energy efficiency average accounting for climate, weather, occupancy, and use. After identifying energy consumption and other building metrics, Sieben Energy Associates (SEA) benchmarks the building to determine its ability to achieve and display the ENERGY STAR designation.  If the initial benchmarking of a building is below verification levels, SEA’s engineers can perform energy audits to identify solutions enabling ENERGY STAR status.

The ENERGY STAR mark of efficiency was developed through a joint initiative by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to help save money and protect the environment.  In 2011, 6045 buildings maintained ENERGY STAR recognition.
