Commissioning New Construction
The commissioning process identifies a client’s objectives, translates them into construction documents, and tests for assurance. Starting with the owner’s project requirements (OPR), the SEA commissioning team completes a description of how a building’s systems will fulfill the OPR. This narrative is called the basis of design (BOD). After construction and prior to occupancy, SEA verifies that the equipment and systems are functioning in accordance with the BOD.
Following a commissioning approach based upon ASHRAE Guideline 0-2001, ASHRAE Guideline 1-2006 and guidelines published by PECI and other applicable industry organizations, our methodology has been tested and continuously updated in the course of numerous assignments. Based on these guidelines, SEA commissioning services for new construction also meet LEED fundamental and enhanced commissioning requirements.
