CHICAGO, IL – Sieben Energy Associates (SEA) was recently nominated for a “Natural Leaders” award, given annually by the Chicago Chapter of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
SEA received four nominations in the “Intent to Matter” category. According to the USGBC’s award description, this category “recognizes an organizational leader or individual that is deliberate in embedding sustainability into building design, construction, or operation.”
Marking its twentieth anniversary this year, SEA provides energy efficiency and sustainability solutions—including LEED consulting for both new and existing buildings—to a wide range of local and national clients.
SEA has successfully helped building owners achieve LEED certification (including Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum) on more than 50 projects since 2003 and has been a longtime leader in the green building movement.
The firm also provides energy management, strategic consulting, and commissioning and retro-commissioning services, integrating sustainable design and energy efficiency into their various service lines.
Though the winner will not be announced until later in the spring, “it was a testament to SEA’s leadership and hard work just to be nominated,” said Craig Sieben, the firm’s founder and president.
